For Sale: 1974 Schwinn Paramount P-13

Another great bike in need of a new home. This one is a 1974 Schwinn Paramount P-13 road racing model. It belonged to a friend of the shop who downsized his collection of bikes. It has been re-painted at some point and is missing some decals. The paint color is a bit darker blue than the original Schwinn color. Serial number is E74299 which puts production date at may of 1974, 299th frame and fork that month. This bike was built at the height of the bike boom years and Schwinn was really cranking these out at that point. Frame is built with Reynolds 531 tubing and has the chrome head lugs and chrome "socks" on the fork, fork crown, and rear triangle. Chrome is in great shape. No eyelets on the Campagnolo drop outs or fork tips, standard for this model, straight racing machine.

Measures as: 58CM seat tube center to center
56CM top tube center to center.
33" stand over height.

The bike is equipped with a mix of Campagnolo Nuovo Record (NR) and Super Record components. Crank set is Campagnolo Super Record 52 /42 chain ring combo dated 1982 with 180mm arms, Campagnolo Super Leggeri pedals (steel axles), with MKS toe clips and Christophe leather straps. Campagnolo NR headset, high flange NR hubs, NR bottom bracket, 27.2 NR seat post and white Turbo saddle, Campagnolo Super  Record braze-on shifters,  NR clamp-on front derailleur with CPSC cage lip (post 1978), 1971 stamped rear NR derailleur, Regina 5 speed freewheel, Mavic Open 4 dark anodized rims (clincher), Avocet rear tire and Panaracer front 700 X 23, Campagnolo NR brake calipers and brake levers with replacement gum hoods, stem is Cinelli 1A 110mm and Cinelli Campione Del Mondo bars 42CM width with white padded bar tape. The frame also has braze-ons for a water bottle cage on the down tube. bike has been well maintained, never crashed and is ready to go! although I would recommend getting it tuned up, bike is sold as is.
