For Sale: Hi-E Engineering wheelset

Offered for sale today is a real piece of home-spun Americana, in relation to cycling.  This is a Hi-e wheelset in practically NOS NEW condition. Hi-E engineering was the inverntion of Harlan Myers from the Nashville, Tennesse area in the 1970's. He is famous for his ultra lightweight hubs, home made rims, pedals, unconventional frame design and construction, cranks, and the list goes on! He was  a true original and had real brilliance in design (in my opinion). here is a link to the Classic Rendezvous with more info on him: Hi-E   also, here is a link to the MOMBAT website, who back in 2013 purchased all the remaining stock of Hi-E parts from Harlan Myers son: MOMBAT Hi-E
This wheel set consists of the Hi-E rims  and hubs, and skewers. Both wheels are 700C size with very dry Clement Criterium Seta Extra tubular tires glued on, they do not hold air. Rear hub is the hi - lo flange version and is spaced at 120mm, and has sealed cartridge bearings. Decals intact on both rim and hub. It is laced three cross with unknown double butted spokes. Wheel is round and true with one small "hop" in the rim. The front wheel is the lo flange hub spaced at 100mm, and also has sealed cartridge bearings. decals intact on both hub and rim. it is radially laced with unknown double butted spokes. It is round and true. This wheel set appears to be shop worn NOS or take off condition. enjoy the photos.

For Sale: 1974 Schwinn Paramount P-13

Another great bike in need of a new home. This one is a 1974 Schwinn Paramount P-13 road racing model. It belonged to a friend of the shop who downsized his collection of bikes. It has been re-painted at some point and is missing some decals. The paint color is a bit darker blue than the original Schwinn color. Serial number is E74299 which puts production date at may of 1974, 299th frame and fork that month. This bike was built at the height of the bike boom years and Schwinn was really cranking these out at that point. Frame is built with Reynolds 531 tubing and has the chrome head lugs and chrome "socks" on the fork, fork crown, and rear triangle. Chrome is in great shape. No eyelets on the Campagnolo drop outs or fork tips, standard for this model, straight racing machine.

Measures as: 58CM seat tube center to center
56CM top tube center to center.
33" stand over height.
The bike is equipped with a mix of Campagnolo Nuovo Record (NR) and Super Record components. Crank set is Campagnolo Super Record 52 /42 chain ring combo dated 1982 with 180mm arms, Campagnolo Super Leggeri pedals (steel axles), with MKS toe clips and Christophe leather straps. Campagnolo NR headset, high flange NR hubs, NR bottom bracket, 27.2 NR seat post and white Turbo saddle, Campagnolo Super  Record braze-on shifters,  NR clamp-on front derailleur with CPSC cage lip (post 1978), 1971 stamped rear NR derailleur, Regina 5 speed freewheel, Mavic Open 4 dark anodized rims (clincher), Avocet rear tire and Panaracer front 700 X 23, Campagnolo NR brake calipers and brake levers with replacement gum hoods, stem is Cinelli 1A 110mm and Cinelli Campione Del Mondo bars 42CM width with white padded bar tape. The frame also has braze-ons for a water bottle cage on the down tube. bike has been well maintained, never crashed and is ready to go! although I would recommend getting it tuned up, bike is sold as is.

For sale: Panasonic 7000 professional road bike?

This is a bike we acquired back in the spring. It is of top notch high end construction / caliber. There is no model number on it, but I believe it is of the 7000 series professional level. In the late 1980's Panasonic offered their PICS program, which was a custom frame program where you could specify dimensions, tubing, tubing material (steel or titanium), and a vast spectrum of color (paint) options. Those bikes also had a specific PICS seat tube decal. I do not think this bike came from that series as it lacks the decals / paint scheme of those bikes. i believe this bike to be from the mid to early 1980's.
The frame and fork is constructed from Champion No. 1 double butted frame tubes, offered by Tange. Here is a list of Tange tube sets on the high end with dimensions: Tange Champion:  A high quality seamless steel tube set.  Been around
forever.  A little bit heaver than Prestige but a lot cheaper and
probably every bit as good for most riders.  Costs about $75 for a
  tube set.
Tange Champion #1  .6/.8 butted tubes (I think)
Tange Champion #2  .6/.9 (I think).  Same as walls Columbus SL.
Tange Champion #3  Same "size" as Columbus SP.
Beautiful light blue paint that is very thinly applied allowing one to see all the details underneath.
The lugs are all crisply filed and thinned, photos really do not do them justice. It also boasts a nice fastback seat cluster, elegant rear brake bridge with star / point like flourishes, chain stay bridge, and nice long fork blade reinforcing tangs. The semi-sloping fork crown is also chromed with the Panasonic logo cast into the shoulders. Drop outs are Shimano EF with Shimano fork tips as well. All these details add up to one really impressive machine. It is built with an earlier Shimano Dura -Ace group, including an AX aero stem, quite unique with the hidden clamp wedge. The wheels  are mis-matched and is how the bike came to us. The headset is a Hatta Swan Super Deluxe model and the bike also has Medallion (Japanese) brand handlebars with a Criterium type bend.. Serial number stamped on the BB shell is: 2B15380.
I have tried to track down info on this bike with not much success, if any of our readers can provide more details, I am all ears.
                                    The measurements are as follows:
58 CM seat tube center to center.
56 CM top tube center to center.
33" stand over height.
